Our Cosmos, MN location has immediate opening for Metalworker/Machine Set-Up/Operator for long-term, full-time employment.

This is not a ‘button-pushing’ job. Our operators take jobs from start to finish utilizing hands-on mechanical, nuts and bolts set ups; various measurement and math calculations; troubleshooting; fine-tuning and decision making in order to cold form steel into helices. We will train the right candidates in the set-up and operation of custom-made hydraulic presses and flight winders to create auger flighting in our air-conditioned shop.

Drugfree Company (pre-employment screening required)

Random and reasonable cause testing is also conducted

1st shift employment, (4) – 10 hour days, 6am – 4:30pm, Monday thru Thursday or (5) – 8 hour days, 7am – 3:30pm, Monday thru Friday

Ideal candidates will have experience in:

Mechanical Work: Use of Hand tools, Mechanical repair, nuts and bolts

Set-Ups: Taking jobs from Shop Order to completed product

Mathematics: Fractions, Decimals, Algebra, Metric Conversion

Measurement and Inspection Skills: Tape measure and Calipers

Metalworking: Welding, grinding and use of Brazing and Plasma Torches

Material Handling: Towmotor and Overhead Crane use

Problem Solving: Troubleshooting and Decision making

Fabricating and welding a variety of custom augers to prints and sketches in our air-conditioned shop. Some production welding required.

Ideal candidates will have experience in:

Steel Fabrication: Fabricating carbon, stainless and low alloy steels; Blueprint Reading and Weld Symbols (AWS and ISO); Weld joint prep; Hand plasma and oxy/fuel torches

Welding: Welding Machine Set-up; Mig/Tig welding and hardfacing of carbon, stainless and low alloy steels using solid and flux-cored wire. Finishing of welds (chipping, grinding, sanding)

Material Handling: Towmotor and Overhead Crane use.

Math and Measurement Skills: Tape measure, Scale, Calipers, Fillet weld gauge.

Problem Solving: Troubleshooting and Decision making.
