FLITECH® Helicoid & Cone-Rolled Auger Screws
Specializing in manufacturing helicoid flighting and shaftless spirals through innovative production processes, FLITECH® designs and manufactures a wide range of high quality helicoid products which meet your specific requirements. At its core, helicoid flighting is a continuous one-piece helix crafted from a single roll of steel. A distinguishing feature is the tapering thickness from the ID to the OD, a result of the manufacturing process. Continuous investment in R&D over the past 22 years has led to these design solutions.
What sets FLITECH® Cone Rolled Apart?
- FLITECH® can manufacture from a special high-strength steel, FLIHARD®, which offers superior performance compared to traditional carbon steels, combining exceptional hardness with outstanding fatigue resistance. Options from 200 to +300 HB are available in material thickness up to a ½”.
- FLITECH® can manufacture from coil thickness up to ¾” thick in carbon steel, and up to ½” thick coils in FLIHARD; 304SS to 316SS coils.
- FLITECH® has the ability to form coils in widths of up to 8” wide.
- FLITECH® operates 18 roll forming machines to roll a variety of materials and sizes, offering the capacity to meet even the highest volume demands.
Other Key Features:
- Strain hardened outer half of the flight face, offering 50% improved hardness over unformed stock. Providing an enhanced life of the product.
- Anti wear edge feature, applying up to an 1/8” x ½” bead of Tungsten coating, for improved life.
- Scale free surface finish to reduce prep prior to painting.
- Flighting blade can be inclined to varying degrees (cupped) based on your specific requirements.
Advantages of Helicoid Flighting:
- Less welding and deformation
- Higher productivity for assembled augers
- Enhanced mechanical strength
- Economical – A cost-effective solution when compared to sectional flighting.
- Reduced Assembly Time – Its seamless design means fewer assembly hours, leading to quicker operational readiness.
- Less Concern for Corrosion & Wear–Our stainless-steel variants and extended wear coating options offer long lasting results.
Our proprietary cold rolling process hardens the flight and provides an integral band of wear resistant steel at the outer edge. The tougher, reinforced edge ensures a longer life and this extra strength is achieved with no increase in weight or cost.
